Hailing from Connecticut and New York, Lions Write History play an aggressive blend of fast and mid-tempo hardcore, reminiscent of the energy and spirit of both 80’s and 90’s era bands. Comprised of former members of With Honor, Ambitions, Palehorse and Signs of Hope, the group strives to create a unique blend of heaviness and melody that will showcase their diverse influences.

According to singer Willis, the lyrical content revolves around turning a difficult upbringing into something positive. “I flocked to hardcore music at a young age, and I’ve always appreciated bands that had a message. Having grown up in a city stricken with poverty, homelessness, and violence, and having been poor and homeless myself for a period of time, I’ve seen the negative effects these types of things can have on a person’s life. This band is my way of showing people that there is a way out.”

We have signed a couple of bands out of Connecticut. It seems like a lot of labels are doing away with CD’s but we are here to stand our ground and will be releasing CD’s from CT’s PROGRESS and MEANDERED both which will be out in the spring. On the vinyl tip, We will be releasing our first 2 pieces of vinyl this spring. A 7″ by Canada’s HORIZONS and CT’s SIGNS OF HOPE.

FIVE VICTIMS FOUR GRAVES JOINS THE DETONATE RECORDS FAMILY

We would like to welcome Sacramento Californias Five Victims Four Graves to the Detonate Records family.

‘Hailing from the talent rich area of Sacramento, California, Five Victim’s Four Graves started in January 2004. They had one goal, to get their music out to the people. With a demo under their belts, they soon caught the attention of many labels and had their debut ep ‘Desperation Never Felt So Good’ released.

Now after releasing their debut ep they have signed to Detonate Records. Expect new material and release information soon.’

Signs of Hope and Five Victims Four Graves will heading down to Central America together at the end of the month to tour for a week into December. Both bands will kick off the tour at the end of this month at Strong and Loud Festival in Costa Rica!
